MP3 player
This MP3 player is designed especially for runners who love to run with music. This MP3 player tracks the running rhythm of the user. This will be converted into beats per minute. Now the MP3 player searches for a suitable track to play, so the runner can run in the same rhythm as the music!
Sketching
Sketches were made to define the overall look and feel of the MP3 player. A sketch to explore the components needed was also made.
Components
The components were scouted on the internet. The size and price of each component was important. The right balance was found between smallest size and lowest prices. The total price of all components is 8,43.
Assembly
The assembly of all the components and the outer housing is done in 9 steps:
- PCB is made in shape.
- The ports and slots are soldered on de PCB.
- The battery is attached to the PCB.
- The buttons are soldered on the PCB.
- The plastic buttons are placed in the top cover of the outer housing.
- The PCBA is placed in the top cover.
- The bottom is clicked in the top cover.
- The clip is assembled on the bottom.
- The MP3 player is fully assembled!
SolidWorks
SolidWorks was used to create this product. Features like lip-groove, rib and snap hook have been used.
End result
The MP3 player is rendered in Keyshot in different colours.
